Harry Mayronne
MUSICIAN:
Harry Mayronne is on the Entertainment Staff at the National WWII Museum Stage Door Canteen. He has been, variously, Musical Director/Musical Arranger for Billie and Ella, Josephine Baker: from Creole Goddess to Siren of the Resistance, Ain’t Misbehavin’ , Dames at Sea, We’ll Meet Again, Higgins; the Man, the Boat, the War, and Stage Door Songbook Series: Cole Porter.
He will be appearing, along with vocalist Chloe Marie, at the 2025 French Quarter Festival and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (second weekend).
Harry frequently accompanies his friend, jazz singer Anaïs St. John. For their livestreamed 2020-21 Porch Fests
the two received a New Orleans City Council Proclamation.
For the past fourteen years, Harry has accompanied Caroling in Jackson Square (presented by Patio Planters).
His restaurant music comedyWaiting Around--the Restaurant Musical, for which he composed the score, with book and lyrics by Ricky Graham, ran for three years in New Orleans at le chat noir. Harry was co-producer of an off-Broadway production, which played at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.The show also had two special performances at the Greenbrier.
He was Musical Director for the Pfister Sisters’ Bar Jeder Vernunft engagement in Berlin.
On March 26 he will be performing with film legend Mink Stole (along with virtuoso musician Dr. Sick) at the Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival.
Harry operated the skeleton marionette seen on video in the Final Tour of Dead and Company's July 3, 2023 Boulder, CO concert. (Skeleton appears at 1:52).
He has been seen at the Provincetown Tennessee
and the Tennessee Williams New Orleans and Literary Festivals
New Orleans Giant Puppet Festival, and with Nina Hagen at Berlin’s Theatre am Schiffbauerdamm, home of the world-renowned Berliner Ensemble, which was created by German playwright/poet Bertolt Brecht and Helene Weigel. Harry is co-presenter, along with founder David C. Symons, of the annual New Orleans Brechtfest.

Harry will be appearing in a meet & greet/performance at Creason's on Sat April 5 at 6pm, as part of the New Orleans Giant Puppet Festival.
