Kelley Dixson began her career as a classical flutist and, after graduating from college, went on to play in two orchestras as well as the pit orchestras for over 20 shows. After moving to New Orleans, she discovered her love of singing and partnered with Rebecca and Harry to form Gumbo Cabaret. She has sung in bands with genres ranging from showtunes to Motown. She is also a multi-instrumentalist adding saxophone, trumpet, and ukulele to the roster. Kelley now teaches middle and high school band, chorus, and musical theater. She has been seen in The Color Purple (Sofia), Rent(Joanne), and Ain't Misbehavin’(Armela McQueen).
Los Angeles native Rebecca Leigh is thrilled to return to The Gardenia, where she performed prior to her move to New Orleans in 2013. Rebecca’s previous performances at the Gardenia include her cabaret show with Shelly Markham, Happily Ever After with Rebecca Leigh. This special engagement marks her homecoming and she’s thrilled to have the opportunity to share the New Orleans-based trio, Gumbo Cabaret, with her hometown audience.
Pianist/marionettist Harry Mayronne is the go-to partner for many a New Orleans chanteuse and theatre production. Recent appearances include the National World Two Museum, French Quarter and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festivals with vocalist Chloe Marie, and the Tennessee Williams Festival with film legend Mink Stole. For their weekly livestreamed 2020-21 Porch Fests, Harry and his friend, jazz singer Anaïs St. John received a New Orleans City Council Proclamation. Berlin appearances include Bar Jeder Vernunft (as Musical Director for New Orleans’ Pfister Sisters) and Theatre am Schiffbauerdamm, with Nina Hagen (as a marionettist). Harry operated the skeleton marionette seen on video in Dead & Company’s 2023 Boulder, CO concert.
