Gerald Mount's long-running production Granny Who Lives in a Shoe played throughout the British Isles during the first world war. He played the role of Granny. The finale of the show was a presentation of The Rosary, featuring the members of his troupe of child performers. This number was a tribute to the wounded soldiers.
